Ingredients:
- 1 lb. sirloin or ribeye steak, thinly sliced
- 6 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons mirin
- 2 tablespoons rice wine
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 green onions, chopped (optional)
- Cooked rice, for serving
Instructions:
- In a large bowl, whisk together the garlic, onion, soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, mirin, rice wine, sesame seeds, and black pepper.
- Add the beef slices to the bowl and toss to coat evenly in the marinade. Cover and let marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to 8 hours.
- Heat a large pan or grill over high heat. Once hot, add the marinated beef in a single layer and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until browned and cooked to your liking.
- Serve the bulgogi hot with cooked rice, topped with green onions if desired. Enjoy!
